Looked After Children Have Even More Big Fun

Members of staff and volunteers took approximately 60 young people to Hull’s BigFun play centre where there is equipment designed to stimulate and challenge all ages.

This is the third annual outing to the centre and in a new venture the 25 adults encouraged the young people to take part in a treasure hunt around the play equipment to find pictures. Every single child was so successful that they each received a late Christmas present courtesy of Viking FM Radio’s Cash for Kids appeal and also a selection box from the Hull IV project.

It was a final event for former SO Chelsee Blundell who after five years has gone on to train to be a social worker and it was an initiation for new Support Officers Jessie Rossi and Helen McGill.

“It was a really nice way to say goodbye to Chelsee,” said Hull IV Project Manager Richard Mullins.

“Her last impressions were to see all the young people running around and playing together. I’m so grateful to all the volunteers, their family members, friends and colleagues who raise funds to make this possible,” he said.
