Supporting children and young people
Some children and young people have difficult home lives and experience family problems. They grow up in tough neighbourhoods, struggle at school or have to take on too many responsibilities. If this is your life and you don’t have anyone there for you, it can be hard to find a way out and see a better future. We want to make sure that these young people have someone on their side so they have a better chance of shaping their future and fulfilling their potential.
We support looked after children and young people ensuring someone is ‘there for them’ when they are in care and when the time comes to help them live independently. We support young people who are out of school, out of work and who believe they are out of chances helping them to gain skills to help them get on in life. We support young people in trouble to help them steer clear of crime and make better choices. We support young people and their families to learn together so that they strengthen their relationships.
With community based mentoring and support projects across England and Wales everyday we are helping young people gain the stability and confidence to make the most of their lives.
