Getting people back to work
Being able to find, and hold down, a job boosts people’s life chances. For most people work means being better off in terms of money, well-being, self-esteem and future prospects. For offenders having a job gives them stability and a better chance to steer clear of crime. More than three quarters of our projects provide support to help people to get into work.
If you’ve been out of work for some time, if you lack skills and qualifications or if you have a criminal record you may need a helping hand you get you back on the right track.
We support and motivate people to get the skills, qualifications and confidence they need to get back into work and stay in work. As well as helping people to find work, by matching their skills to the right career, we provide practical tips on putting together a CV and help with interview skills. In some cases, once someone has got a job we continue to support them so they stay motivated and keep going to work.
