Sova CAST

At Sova CAST we support and encourage young people who are, or have been, in care, helping them to get the confidence, self-esteem and skills they need to make the most of their lives.

We run a drop-in twice a week which offers young people the opportunity to play sports and games and try out creative arts, as well as providing a hot, healthy meal.

Our team of paid staff and volunteers also offer one to one support and advice and group work exploring issues like health, behaviour, anger management, cooking and budgeting. We also try to give young people the chance to do things they wouldn’t normally do, so at weekends and in school holidays we organise trips to the theatre, climbing, hill walking and horse riding. We also do simple things like go to the park or to a museum - things the young people we work with have often missed out on before coming into care.

Sova CAST is funded by Sheffield Council Social Services. For more information about our work or to volunteer please contact [email protected]
