Volunteer Mentor - HLNY CRC Mentoring Project - Hull
HLNY CRC Mentoring Project depends on people like you giving their time to support others and make a difference. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge difference. You could support adult male offenders who are due to be released from prison or serving a community sentence in Lincoln, Hull, York and surrounding areas.
Sova provides the mentoring service to assist Humberside, Lincolnshire & North Yorkshire (HLNY) Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) in improving the quality of offender’s lives, helping them to access services and to reduce re-offending. The mentoring service is tailored to meet the individual needs of each service user. Mentors are non-judgemental and can offer support and guidance to service users to develop confidence and self-esteem, moving them towards social inclusion. Mentors can also support with signposting to local services as well as a listening ear.
Volunteer mentors undertake accredited training (Certa) and are fully supported throughout their mentoring role.
We are currently recruiting in Lincoln, Hull, York and surrounding areas. If you live within an easily commutable distance, are over 18 years and have an interest in our client group, we would love to hear from you.
Commitment: 1-4 hours per week, for at least 4 months
Time commitment: 1-4 hours per week
